News: Re5 depression treatment becomes available to many more people
In June 2024, Re5 depression treatment was approved under the EU MDR. Read more about the approval and what it means for you here.
With this new approval and to address the lack of capacity in hospitals, Re5 depression treatment can now be offered as a home treatment.
How to get started

Contact your doctor
Contact your doctor and inform them of your interest in Re5 depression treatment.

Re5 depression treatment can be completed safely and easily in the comfort of your own home.

Assessment and prescription
If your doctor assesses that the treatment is suitable for you and you are willing to pay for it yourself, you will receive a prescription.
You and your doctor will plan the course of treatment, including the need for ongoing follow-up.
Your doctor will then fill out an electronic prescription, as Re5 depression treatment can only be prescribed by a doctor.

Payment
Once we have received your prescription and contact details from your doctor, we will send a payment request to the email address you provided to your doctor.
After payment has been completed and our terms and conditions accepted, we will ship the Re5 therapy device directly to your home.
The equipment comes in a compact suitcase that contains everything you need to get started.

When you receive the equipment, we are ready to help you get started if you need technical support.

Completion and returns
When you have completed your treatment, order a return shipment on our returns portal and return the equipment to your nearest parcel shop (you will receive more information about this).
Course of treatment
Re5 is developed and approved for the treatment of moderate to severe depression and as self-treatment at home after initial instruction.
The course lasts 8 weeks (56 days) and consists of daily stimulation sessions of 30 minutes. During the treatment you can relax in a chair, read or listen to music.
The technology mimics the natural electrical activity of brain cell membranes and the impact on the brain is very gentle. Therefore, most people do not feel the stimulation.
You can easily continue with daily activities such as driving, walking or cooking both before and after treatment.
